Internet connection speed recommendations

These are the recommended internet download speeds for playing TV shows and movies on Streamer.

Standard definition (SD)	3
High definition (HD)	5
4K/Ultra HD (UHD)	25

To watch Streamer in HD, you need:

• A Standard or Premium Streamer plan

• A connection speed of at least 5 megabits per second

• Video quality set to Auto or High

Manage Streamer bandwidth usage

If your internet service provider applies a limit to your bandwidth or data, you can set video quality settings to Low or Medium to use less data.

Check connection speed

You can check your connection speed on many devices from within the Streamer app.

If you're using a mobile device or computer, visit Fast.com to test your speed.

1. Begin from the Streamer home screen.

2. Navigate up and select the Settings link or icon .

   • If you don't see the Settings icon, your device doesn't support this feature.

3. Select Check your Network.

4. The Streamer app will verify that you can connect to the internet and reach Streamer. It will also check your connection speed.

If your connection is slower than you expect, contact your internet service provider for help.
